Hello, I am a second-year Ph.D. Student in Health Informatics at Indiana University Bloomington, USA, working with Dr. Christina Chung. My research focuses on Health Informatics, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), and CSCW.
As a researcher, I am interested in new ways that allow people to extend one’s range of understanding. My goal is to research these ways to foster better human-to-others (such as robots, virtual avatars, and other people) understanding and to enhance the relationship between humans and others. I am also interested in new media that allows one to extend and assist one’s experience. With new interactions and technology, this media enables people to create their own experience easily byusing assistive tools with multi-modal interactions.
Interest: Personal Informatics, HCI, CSCW
In this study, we developed a scalable, effective, and accessible app to address the problems that arise in traditional face-to-face counseling and to treat common psychological problems such as mild depression that people experience in their daily lives.
People often strive to “externalize” memories for long-term saving or sharing with others using different forms of media. We explored and proposed new interactive systems which enhance social presence and enable new experiences with multi-modal interactions.
